A dainty pair of Silver Cowrie Shell Studs, the perfect size for everyday and a wonderful reminder of the shore.
Cowrie studs are known more commonly as Groatie Buckies here on Orkney where there's a constant competition as to who can collect the most. (Though this takes some good eyesight and a lot of patience!).
The Cowrie Studs are cast in solid sterling silver from a shell collected from the Orkney shoreline. Approximately 7mm tall.
Care:
Keep your jewellery out of direct contact with water, chemicals (such as perfumes or household cleaning agents).
Remove your jewellery before exercising to keep it shining it's brightest.
Some gemstones are harder than others (see Moh's Scale of Hardness). To keep the gemstones looking in tip top condition, it is worth considering this when deciding on cleaning, frequency of wear etc.
When your jewellery is not being worn, it is safest to keep it in the box it came in.
