These thick-ribbed silk blend socks bring warmth, softness, and a touch of luxury to everyday rituals — whether worn as indulgent bed socks or tucked into walking boots, wellies, or ski boots.

Knitted from a sustainable blend of recycled silk, lambswool, viscose, and nylon, they offer
natural warmth, breathability, and durability.

These beautifully thick socks are built to last - crafted in small batches from ethically sourced, Italian-spun yarn, a welcome alternative to flimsy synthetics that quickly wear thin.

Designed in our East London studio by Catherine Tough, a Royal College of Art graduate, and made with care in Portugal.  Every pair is crafted in small batches from ethically sourced, Italian-spun recycled yarn — because beautiful things should also do good.

Composition & Care
  • A recycled blend of Italian spun yarn: 15% virgin silk, 30% recycled lambswool,
    30% EcoVero viscose & 25% recycled polyamide

Machine wash on a gentle wool cycle, no higher than 30°C or hand wash. Use a wool care detergent and add a drop of fabric conditioner for extra softness. Leave to dry naturally. Do not tumble dry. Can be gently steam ironed

About Catherine Tough

You could say that for Catherine, a future in knitting was inevitable.

Catherine grew up in the Malvern Hills surrounded by the soundtrack of her mother’s various craft projects; whether that was the soft thrum of a spinning wheel in the lounge or the click of knitting needles each evening.

After many years of dreaming of making beautiful things, Catherine earned a place to study Textiles at the Royal College of Art where she developed her signature style; bold, playful and always made using the finest materials
