These studs subtly catch the light when worn. Caitlin is fascinated by the ambiguity of linear markings and is inspired by patterns that are found on ancient artefacts for inspiration. The overall circular form is a nod to the infamous cup-and -ring markings found in Scottish landscapes left by our ancestors.

Each studs measures approx 10mm round and has a butterfly at the back to secure it to the ear.

About Caitlin Hegney
Caitlin Hegney is based in Helensburgh Argyll, on the West coast of Scotland, and designs and makes a range of rings, necklaces and earrings in the tranquillity of her home studio. Caitlin looks for rhythms and patterns that transcend ancient times, interpreting them for the present day. Drawing is at the roots of her practice using hand-made tools to translate the expressive quality of her sketches into precious metals. She puts her own spin on traditional craft processes of chasing, filigree and lost wax casting.
