When Mary Macgregor moved to Shetland in 2010, she started a small business, to create contemporary heritage Fair Ilse textiles. Her aim is to help preserve beautiful traditional designs by introducing modern ideas and playing with colour, materials and pattern. 

All designing and finishing is done in Mary's croft, in Shetland, and any pieces marked as hand-knitted are crafted by highly talented women who live locally.
